Stream Restoration
Restoring and protecting water resources
Sage Civil Engineering (SCE) provides stream restoration, bank stabilization, fish screening, and diversion replacement-resulting in prevention of fish migration through irrigation diversions, as well as facilitating upstream passage of spawning fish and other aquatic species.
SCE routinely considers fish passages and screens on construction design and master-planning projects for irrigation rehabilitation. Replacement of structures with channel restoration and stabilization are often incorporated into these designs. For master-planning projects, conceptual designs and cost estimates are prepared that allow for future consideration when improvements to the irrigation systems are required.
Bank stabilization for erosion mitigation is accomplished through bioengineering methods to preserve the natural aesthetics of a stream.
